We are so grateful to have made it this far in our business. This year will mark our fifth anniversary and we have so many things planned. Mahalo for joining us and being a part of this community!

2021 was a year of hope. Still adjusting to the new normal way of life, we found ways to continue to perpetuate our culture and bring joy into people's homes. We focused a lot on how we could elevate our home spaces to make us feel comfortable, confident, and proud. We also started Ho'omau Hawai'i Market, a pop up shopping event focused on supporting local businesses who perpetuate Native Hawaiian culture.

2020

2020 was set up to be THE year! We had planned to do the Merrie Monarch craft fair, which was a huge goal. When COVID hit, everything came to a screeching halt and we were stuck with thousands of pieces of merchandise that I had no idea how we would sell. However, this is also the year that the support local movement really was strong and we ended up selling all our Merrie Monarch merchandise in a couple hours through our online shop. This year continued to be the most amazing year with the launch of our Ku'u Home Collection. We are truly blessed.

2019

2019 was the year we really got serious! Our business grew by 900%... seriously! We did more pop up events, collaborated with other local small shops, and began getting more of our items sourced through outside manufacturers. We were finding our place in the small shop community and discovering the true purpose and mission behind our brand. Our first lei tee came out this year, which paved a path for one of our most popular collections.

2018

2018 was a year of expansion. We started printing our shirts through a local print shop, which allowed us to produce larger batches. Our eldest son was born in June of this year, so we started adding more keiki items to the mix. Majority of our items were still made by us in our home. We ended the year doing our first in person event! We participated in the Aloha Home Market in November.

2017 marked the start of our small shop. We officially opened our Etsy shop in June - our first product was our Aloha Lives Here doormat. Every single product was made in our home in very small batches. We also did a lot of custom orders with shirts, doormats, etc. Everything was a combination of long days and late nights, but we were so grateful for the support of our new shop.
