I designed the first edition back in 2018. At the time, I couldn't find a planner that checked all the boxes for what I wanted - cute Hawaiian/local illustrations, simple Hawaiian language phrases, a layout where I could be fancy or basic in, and something undated so I didn't feel pressured to use it every single month in a row. So, I created it. Every year since then, I've come out with a new edition and they've sold so well. It turns out there are a LOT of people who were looking for the same type of planner. They make great gifts and there is no pressure to use it during a calendar year, an academic year, or even month after month because they are undated. Nā Lā Maika'i translates to "The Good Days".

Pink Kokiʻo Lā Maikaʻi Planner

I love these planners! The first one I had was gifted by a fellow kumu and this is my first personal purchase. I like that I can organize it beginning on the mahina I need to for kula. As the tabs are not attached, that also allows me to start them in the order I need for the teaching year. The colors are awesome (love me my ʻākala!) and the kiʻi are always so much fun with such beautiful artwork and totally local kine things! Itʻs so great as a kumu in Hawaiian immersion to actually have a planner that is in ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi, too.
